Not 100% if its a chicken or a rooster but it screams like its being murdered !
I have heard normal screams but this was like from a horror movie and it was scary as ...
Here's the story.
My partner and I were outside when out neighbor pointed out there was a chicken/rooster next to our car we had a look and sure enough there was one!
We attempted to catch it but some how it flew really high up and went over a fence so we gave up.
8 hours later we go outside to let the dog our to go pee pee and we notice this chicken/rooster has flown up to a beam that's under the veranda but its still high up. So calmly i got a chair got on the chair and slowly got hold of the chicken talking to it softly.
Then this chicken/rooster screamed it lungs out like something out of a horror movie. I have looked on youtube and other sites for screaming chicken videos and none match the screams from this one. Even my grandmothers chickens don't scream like this.
So its now living in my bathroom till the morning when we will take it to my grandmothers to live with her chickens. I have given it water and some bread crust as its the only thing i think it can eat without getting sick. Any advice on what else it can eat? or what breed it could be or even why it screams like I'm trying to murder it.
Its only small like half the size of my Grandmothers ones but has full feathers and is a light brown/blonde color.
I can take an image if needed. We are in Australia BTW. Oh yeah and i put shredded news paper in the bath where it is sitting so its not cold and a old towel in the corner.
