He is just 4 months old now and was a free "rare" day old chick from McMurray. It is my first time raising chicks. I usually just buy the hens I want. Here are a few pics of Carl and some of his ladies, young and old. They have their coop and large, approx. 60 foot by 60 foot run. The older ladies get out each day into the 4 acre pasture with the horses. The younger ones will start getting their freedom in the next couple weeks.

Do you all agree or disagree with what "Carl" is?

Thanks all for your time.

Ken

Gotta say he is extremely friendly and personable.
Kind of excited for some babies from him and his EE girls.

Thanks Silkieluver.............
I am new to this game and having a lot of fun with the chickens. Right now we have just the 8 hens and Carl but in the spring I am thinking of building a new pen for a different exotic bred. I am intrigued with the exotics but a good layer is a must! Any breed ideas????
I can tell you about anything you want to know about paint horses but just learning about the huge world of chickens. So, again, thanks for the help!!!!!

Hmmmm..... I really like orpingtons. I have the buffs. I also have white jersey giants, but they have not started laying for me yet and they don't really like being cuddled like my buff orps do.
