to a local feed store, but came home w/ 17 EE's and 15 meaties! The EE's arrived at the store, last evening. The Meaties they've had for a week. I couldn't pass up meaties that were already thriving! The EE's are soooo cute!

I'm expecting 10 (straight run) Blue Lace Red Wyandottes, 2 White Crested Polish pullets, 2 Silver Polish pullets, 2 EE Roos. That will bring the non-meatie chicks to 37 for this season, so far. I'm praying that I get a lot of pullets from the BLR Wyandottes so that I don't have, but maybe, 2 roos to dispatch. 7 pullets to 2 roos would be fab! I'd love to breed those and the EE's!

Yep, they're CX. The thing is I'll be doing 150-200 CX on Pasture, starting in 2 weeks.

I just couldn't wait! It's really a good thing they didn't have any other chicks in there cuz I'd have come home w/50!

I already have 42 laying hens and 3 roos (which may be history, soon!) I bet I'll have 80 layers by June. I need an INTERVENTION!
