(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
When I was younger we always had chickens growing up. But this year, my brother and I got to pick which chicken breeds we wanted because our last flock got massacred. :(
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Around 30
(3) What breeds do you have?
Black Australorps, Barred Rock, Pearl White Leghorns, Light Brahmas, a White Cochin, some Amauracauna, and some Red Star.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love to just see the different personalities of the chickens as they grow.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like to computer program.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a brother, a dog, I'm in middle school, and yeah thats it.

1. About 5 years raising chickens
2. 10 standard, 10 Bantams
3. 2 Buff Orps, 2 Americauna, 2 Black Jersey Giants, 2 Barred Rocks, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte
1 have no idea what she is but lays green eggs and is 9 months old.
6 Old English Game Mille Fluer Bantams, 1 bantam roo have no idea what he is, 2 Old English Game Silver Duckwings, 1 black hen no idea what she is (most of mine came from my BIL)
4. Just watching the funny things they do, and the way they come running when time to eat or treats given
5. I crochet, go tubing down the creek with my hubby
6. Married 22 years this Nov, disabled so home all the time, no children, 2 dogs Rascal (Maltese 6 years old next month) Abby (Poodle 14 years old in Oct)
i'm just getting into incubating and hatching eggs, very exciting. Last year my brother n law made me a nice brooder with an attached run we keep on the front porch.
