I say get a good dog that will protect your flock from those crazy cats. Its not your fault your dog killed a cat that was on your property and that was harming your livestock.

i'm just trying to figure out what neighbor my beloved animals ran off ? ? ? All my animals are in our yard, close to our patio so as not to disturb neighbors on the other side of our fences. Even our goats are double fenced to keep them 20 feet away from neighboring fences while grazing. Everyone is clean and safe. i don't even have any roosters. Guess my downfall is not letting cats "play" with my ducks.

Maam I admit I do not know Califorina law but in most states EAST of the Rockies,if someones animals are on another persons property, the animal owners have been warned to keep them home and they are seen as harassing(not even killing or hurting, but just harassing) livestock IT IS legal to shoot and kill said animals. I would think you folks would care enough for your animals and respect your neighbors enough to keep your pets at home and insure they do not trespass. If you were my neighbor the cats would already be dead.
