So by about spring ill have my chicken coop done and my goat pen done. I know what goats im getting, but the choice on cluck clucks is not yet set in stone. I really havent had a bad chicken. Ive had white leghorns, americanas (i called them my hawks), RIR, RSL, barnyard mutts, Orpingtons, BSL, and RIR. I lost track after a while, I actually supplied my entire work with farm fresh eggs every week, the chickens paid for there own feed, IT WAS AWESOME. Im no looking to get something different, I was looking at BCM (Black Copper Maran) dont know much about them other than they are a show bird and produce a dark copper color egg. Id like to try my hand at them. What could i expect for egg production? Health problems from them? Temperament? My flock will be about 10 large, ill have a mix of RSL, orpingtons, and now BCM. Maybe one rooster if he stays nice.
TIA
