Crowing
I posted a while back about my BO, Sally, not coming up into the coop a couple of weeks ago to go to bed. She wouldn't even answer me. I thought she might be dead down in the run. Snow is 4 feet banked against door so I can't see in the run. I came inside and cried. Then went back out and scolded her for not coming up or at least answering me.
Now last night I went to put them to bed and I was missing a SLW. I shone the flashlight in the coop and only 1 SLW was on top of my BO and ISAB in their favorite nest box. I called to Louise ( the other one is Thelma with the missing, albeit, slowly growing back toenail) And I called again. No answer no bird. Then there was a ruckus in that nesting box and there was Louise on the bottom covered up with a BO and an ISAB and then for good measure a SLW.. Crazy birds cuz they will peck each other at the drop of a hat. But when it's time to go to bed they are besties. As I've said before just like 2 year olds. Toddlers.
