I got my first chickens in late Autumn last year. Sixteen (16) of them (adults) with one (1) large colourful and noble rooster. Their breeds are a mystery to me! But wow that rooster looks so nice and imposing!
They have since had chicks, a little over 30 so I have nearly 50 chickens in total. I free range them in a large garden.
Most chicks are now about 3 to 4 months old and half of them like to sleep in a tree. (they do have their own coop but prefer the tree)
I love seeing them grow up and to care for them. Also I am excited to see how the new generations turns out.
Besides the chickens, I music, art history and nature.
I found BYC a few days ago by searching information for chicken breeds.

He's also quiet imposing in real life. You cannot help it but take notice. That is how my neighbour who also has chickens describes him "he has a noble aura".
