So now that I finally found DE locally how much do I use??

Mixed in with food?


We have 4 five week olds.

I can throw it in my garden too, right? Again, how much? Our garden is not big maybe 15 X 15'

Sprinkle the run and coop lightly with it, a few handfuls to 50# feed, and don't throw it in your garden unless you want to kill all your earthworms.
It's really a matter of horse sense- don't totally coat everything with it, but don't be afraid to use it either.
