So Sad: One of the children I taught at 4-h was killed

Melody and her father were struck by a drunk motorcyclist Wednesday night. Melody was a sweet, quiet girl. She was one of only 7 in the poultry project of the Indian Valley 4-h, which I teach. She didn't own chickens but came to every meeting and asked questions and loved watching my chooks, I'd always let her hold Fabio after the meeting.

As someone who lost a sister to a drunk driver , this just makes my blood boil

It's always the innocent who die in these accidents.

I'm so sorry for your loss... I will keep Melody's family and friends in my prayers, especially her Dad.

It seems like the drunk driver always escapes with barely any injuries at all. The same happened here last week. A 20 year old and his fiance's 2 year old were killed by a drunk driver, and the dd is still alive. Makes no sense.
