I have 6 ducks- 2 male Pekins and 4 females- 2 Rouens, a Cayuga (maybe), and a crested (something). I've had them since the day after they hatched in mid-late March. So far I've seen no eggs but the pekins have curly tail feathers. They also haven't shown any "adult" behaviors yet either. Maybe its the weather- I'm in Georgia so its 94+ pretty much everyday. They molted a few weeks ago so I don't think that's it. I've just been looking forward to tasting one of their eggs.
Also, I know they sometimes lay "wherever they feel like it". They have over 1/2 an acre to themselves that's fenced in but I've looked in all the places they spend any amount of time. I actually gave their pen to the dutch rabbit (its a 12'x15' dog kennel w/ roof), then the other rabbit has the area to one side and behind her to himself (no rabbit babies, please). I just like the ducks eating the bugs out of the yard. They also get the Purina layer feed if that matters.
