Soap in the water

Hello BYC! So some of my friends have had a big plastic pond for a while and they haven’t used it and since I have ducks, they thought that I could have it. But they’ve had it for 20 years… so it’s been sitting in the same place for a while there’s lots of spiders and dirty things inside. So I just washed it out and I used dawn soap to scrub it just in case it had anything that my ducks might eat that could get them sick. I washed it out pretty good, but I’m not sure if all the soap came out if there’s still a little soap will my ducks get sick from drinking the water?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

It can harm the natural oils on them and can cause diarrhoea

A good rinse will get rid of all the detergent.
