TeenageRooster's Dad
Songster
Hi guys,
I just picked up 4 baby Orpingtons that were 'orphaned' unfortunately. 10 days old. They're doing great, 3 girls and what my son calls a "maybe" rooster
. "Maybe Rooster" is strong as hell, never seen a chick so active (well, one of my ex was, but drugs were involved)
Feels like a fresh start, I'm wondering if there are known 'good practices' to socialize them regularly; I don't wanna overwhelm them but having a batch in the flock that aren't as 'wild' as the rest would be nice.
Ok, ok... I've seen some videos of chicken enthousiats fellas on "the Tube" when they sit down and the girls would just jump on their lap.
Their well being will always come first but I'm wondering what can be done to "socialize" them periodically without overwhelming them.
Thanks!
