Soft egg?

Soft eggs are the outcome of a bird not having enough oyster shell. Nothing to fear. Its not uncommon. Just give your bird some oyster shell and that should really help!

Thanks! Ya know... I didn't even think of that. I am feeding them the feed from a local feed store. Apparently it isn't good enough. They also suggested turkey feed. Any suggestions?

I feed my calls a mix of pellets and scratch. They've just started laying and I haven't gotten a soft egg yet! I've never heard anything about feeding them just plain turkey feed. All my birds eat the same types of foods because what I feed them can be fed to any type of poultry and they just love it.

poultry pellet. I give mine shelled corn once in awhile because corn is a very fatty food for birds. In the winter I give mine more just due to the fact of how cold it is. I also give them more food then I would normally give them in the warmer months due to the fact that there are no insects or fresh grass and weeds to chow on.
