Soft Eggs

I have a hen thats just started to lay & shes acting funny, shes laid 2 rubber (soft) eggs today for this 1st time. Can anyone can tell me whats going on? Is this normal for her 1st time laying or should I be concerned about her health?

It's common for them to be a bit off when they start up and to lay soft eggs. It is probably confusing to many of them as far as what is going on. Most get used to it and become more regular after a few weeks.
