soft shell eggs

my 6 girls are just starting to lay. finally got 6 eggs yesterday. today 4 eggs in nest box. I found 2 eggs under where they roost. the eggs where super soft shell almost no shell at all..i feed them table table scraps. is there something they might be missing in there diet or should I give them something else. the soft shell thing has happen in the past. should I wait and not panic

No, there's no need to panic. Sometimes when pullets start to lay this happens. (They even have a name for eggs like the ones you saw: "Oops Eggs" or something like that. I can't remember!)

Just give them a few days to a week and all of the eggs should be normal.

little late getting back sorry. but you were right things have corrected them self. one day I get 6 eggs next 5 waiting for 6 a day
