Hello,my seramas arent real good egg layers to begin with, but tonight i found a soft shelled egg. They eat flock raiser and they get oyster shell and grit.Is the regular oyster shell to big for the seramas?should i try to grind it some or is there another kind i can give them?
Thanks for any help..

It's probably just a glitch in the egg laying machinery, not a calcium problem. Mine lay a soft shell or an undersized egg occasionally. Remember we never see the mistakes in store bought eggs.

thanks dawn.i guess ill keep an eye on them.so regular oyster shell is ok?

I've never had anything as small as a Serama, but my oyster shell has some pretty small pieces, so I would think so.

thanks again..
