Are they really Bantams? Your rooster seems to be very large bird for a Bantam, related to 16 inch concrete block in the background.

Yes they are classified as bantams. You have to remember that not all bantams are as tiny as an oegb which is what most folks think of when you say bantam. They are about the size of my silkies but maybe a little taller? Compared to the full size birds I have seen, they are much smaller. The roo stands pretty erect most of the time too, very proud of himself, lol.
