Sold to me as a 5-7 month old Lavender Cuckoo Orpington rooster. But I’m thinking it’s really an Isabel Cuckoo Orpington pullet.

Looks like a Isabel hen. At that age it would be crowing if it was a rooster.Sold to me as a 5-7 month old Lavender Cuckoo Orpington rooster. But I’m thinking it’s really an Isabel Cuckoo Orpington pullet.

That’s what I was thinking. I have Buff Orpingtons and at this age I definitely could tell roosters from pulleys! The man I bought the trio from said he bought it from someone as a rooster bit personally never heard him crow.Looks like an Isabel hen. At that age it would be crowing if it was a rooster.
It's a cockerel, and is not Isabella in coloring, since those have no barring. I think he is exactly what the seller said he is.Just an update on this: walked out this morning and heard this one crowing. So either she/he is confused, the age was wrong or Isabel Orpingtons mature much slower than my other birds.View attachment 3710135View attachment 3710136
