I know a picture will be more helpful, I will try to get a picture later today. Please read.
I know that I will likely never know what she is or mixed with, I'm just looking for possible breeds to see if anyone may have some suggestions that I may have missed.
Also, I have no way of contacting the people who she originally came from, one of my husband's coworkers gave my husband 2 pullet chicks, who got them from a friend of his.
I have a pullet, she is about 22-23 weeks old (based on my best guess of how feathered she was whenever I got her). She has been a mystery since I got her and as she's maturing the mystery keeps growing.
She is solid black, her skin and legs are black, her comb and wattles are black, but inside of her mouth is not black. She does not have extra feathers on her legs or the top of her head. In the sunlight her feathers and green. On her feet, she does have an extra toe.
Also, her body shape, she is a bit chunky, I would compare her to what my buff orpingtons looked like at about her age, her tail feathers also look like my buff orpingtons, as in the shape.
She came with another chick, I'm not sure if they came from the same chickens and they just look different. The other pullet is also black, her skin is white, red comb and wattles, and no extra toes, also without extra feather on legs or top of head.
Just looking for possibilities of what she may possibly be, but regardless of what she is, I just think she's a really pretty chicken and find her interesting. I will try to get pictures later today after it warms up a bit.
