First post. My 14 month roo- Sunflower, has a large solid comb. It flaps over his left eye like a green beret's hat. He is an ee. His coat pattern and coloring resembles Welsummers. My question is what do y'all think his comb "type" is?
Question 2. My almost 3 month old silkie hen-Snow White, has what appears to be 2 combs. She is solid white with hairy legs, and 5 toes. Her comb is red though and it looks like horns. Same question, what comb type is this.

And if you know of a breed they could possibly be mixed with I'd like to know also. Thx.

Hello and welcome to BYC!

Where did you get your birds?

I have seen combs like that of your cockerel on some game breeds.

Your Silkie is actually a Sultan and has a V comb.
I bought them from a backyard breeder local to me in Texas. I've seen the v comb in adults but I didnt know what it looked like in babies. Thank you.
Still looking for any leads on my roo.
