Solid sides in run?

Does anyone have 2-4' high solid sides in their run? We can get some pretty good wind and deep snow so I'm wondering about doing it in our run. Wondering if anyone on here has good/bad experiences with this setup. Thanks!

I use polycarbonate panels and clear shower curtains to block wind and snow from about mid-November to sometime in April. Then I take them down. They go from the ground up to the roof on the west and north sides, to block the prevailing wind.

The rest of the year, the sides of the run are open. They're covered with hardware cloth over 2x3 welded wire fencing to keep our many predators out.
