I have one egg with a solid, unmoving mass in it with an air pocket at one end. No matter how I move it, it stays in the same place. The other egg has a slightly larger air pocket but when I move the egg I can see the dark area move with gravity. Neither egg has any chick movement that I can see. ** Which one is the bad egg?
They could have begun incubation at different times (long story involving a supposedly dead hen which actually turned out to be broody... hatched one chick and left the other 2 eggs out in the cold!) I'm finishing up the incubation in my own incubator - but I think I'm just cooking putrid eggs!

If it hatches, it was a good egg... if not.. well.. you get the idea.. lol

I just went through this myself. The moving mass is most likly a quiter.

The soild most likly the good egg.

If unsure wait a couple of days before tossing.
