Solo chicks???

So I just hatched a few chicks for the first time. Knowing that I wouldn't have the time to care for the chicks after hatch, I made sure they would have homes before I even incubated. A few friends had interest and now there's even a wait list...

Not as many hatched as I would like, so I was going to distribute one chick per person. Would they be ok by themselves without any other chicks?

In my experience yes. As long as they get plenty on atention so they don't feel lonely they should be fine.

Unless someone has similarly aged chicks I would not let the chicks go as singles.

It is so hard socially on the chick if it is getting introduced to older girls or if some day the person wants to add. If you have a friend that wants 1 chicken fine but the girls do spend all day with one another. I would never have less than 3. I currently have two sets of 8 and 3 older girls. They all bicker the oldes are mean to the youngest the middle age run around together. In a month they may all do fine but right now they bicker more than I like. Two or three a person is better

No I would not do single chicks. I would just hatch more until you can fill everyone’s order
