Solo hen- need another adult hen

I now am down to one hen- a 4 year old Golden Lace Wyandot. Any suggestions on where to find an adult hen so she can survive winter? I’ve asked neighbors but they don’t have any. ( we are only allowed three in our town). I’ll check animal shelters. A man at Murdochs said he’d give me one of his- he has 15 he said. Not sure if I should go that route or try backyard hen people where they’d be handled more maybe? She’s very lonely after my 8 yr old buff Orpington died.

If you are only allowed to have 3 chickens, I would try to get 2 so if you lose one you would not be in the same situation you are now. Hopefully you will find them soon before the winter gets here, Make sure you quarantine and inspect the new or new ones before you put them together.
