We have had chickens for about a year now. We bought 6 red pullet chicks this time last year then later introduced 2 game hens & a rooster. Lost a red & a game in a fight when we first got the new ones & another red to a dog, so now we have 4 reds, a game hen, & the rooster. We had an opossum attack a few nights ago & 3 hens ran out (we hadn't closed the coop door that night yet). We killed the opossum the next day when we found him asleep in the coop. Luckily no birds were injured BUT now the 3 red hens aren't going to the coop at night, they're going to my daughters plastic play house instead lol. The other red hen & the game birds are still going up though. We locked them all in for a few days but it didn't fix the issue :/ they also just started laying & these 3 girls aren't laying in there now either. Last year all the reds laid one egg each & always in the coop. We are finding them laying in the yard by bushes & trees. Any ideas? Suggestions?? Thanks!

Ps forgive me for not knowing their real breed types. I forget the actual names.

I would lock them up again for a few more days. Not going into the safe coop can be a problem.
