Some comb shrinkage normal during egglaying off season...right?

This hen just went to the vet a few weeks ago. She had a through going over including a fecal sample for worms. The vet gave her a clean bill of health. To the best of my knowledge none of my hens have neither worms nor mites.

Also, wanted to add not all nematodes are parasites. Like bacteria, most are benign or even beneficial. Only a very small amount can be parasitic to chickens.

I would do it maybe two to three times a week, in small amounts. I have six Delawares in one breeding coop and I get one of the tall cans of salmon and give half the can to them one day and a few days later, give the rest of the can. Sometimes I wait till the next week.

I did give them some. Quite a bit came out in their poop. Can I mash it or combine it with yogurt of something else to make it more digestable?

Hmm, it should be very digestible, actually. I sometimes make thin oatmeal and cool it with yogurt then mix in the fish. Never saw any come out in their poop.

Probably, if I combine it as a mash with yogurt or oatmeal, it won't come out the other end. I am not sure how much was digested. There was a few chunks in their poop but less than what they ate.
