Abstract not found online: No live animals, birds, or fowl shall be kept or allowed within 6 meters (20 feet) of any area where food is stored or held for sale or of any place of dwelling. This subdivision does not apply to guide dogs, signal dogs, or service dogs when used in the manner specified in Section 54.l of the Civil Code.

* Odd, wouldn't that seen to mean you can't even have pets that could get anywhere near your own kitchen??

"20 feet from any dwelling". Does the word dwelling mean the house itself, or the house with its backyard? Our neighbor's house is about 20 feet from our common backyard fence, so can I let my chickens stay along our fence line? Or do I need to keep my chickens 20 feet away from the fence?

A dwelling is usually a building, not the property on which it sits.
