Hello out there.

I suppose a hobby of mine is photography. And when I went to the zoo with the kids the other day, I took some pictures. Many of them are birds. So I'm sharing them. Hope you like 'em. Unfortunately I had to size them at 800px wide to comply with the forum's pic size requirements, which lowered the picture quality and detail. Oh well.

I liked the bigger version of this more...at its largest, you could see the little serrations in his beak.

I couldn't believe the detail in the above pic at its original size, so I took a bit of it and copied it. This is the closeup of the original sized feathers on the wings.

I really like this one...took it from a ways away, through glass, with the sun at my back. Noo idea how I managed to get it without any glare or smudges--but I did it consistently, and have a bunch more like this that I haven't uploaded. These spider monkeys were awesome. <3

Hope this provided you with some enjoyment!! Have a great night. :3

Thanks for sharing, Those are some really nice pics! Love those colorful ducks. What is that little deer looking thing? Its so cute!

Aloha,

I love the pics and you are a wonderful photographer! I would like to thank you for sharing and I can't wait to see more. Our local zoo here here is closed and the only other zoos we have are on other Islands. So it is great too see photos.

Thank you for the kind words!!

Suzettex5, I think that's a dikdik, but I may be wrong. And I may have misspelled that. Or maybe it's a muntjack. Lol.

Rainbowbirds, I'll make sure to edit and upload some more!! The zoo in my city (I live near a BIG one, more than 1 mill people!) is BIG. The photos in this set were only from half or less than half of the zoo, actually. The zoo actually has a komodo dragon exhibit (sadly I didn't get to go there) and an okapi. Only about 40 zoos worldwide have okapi.

They also had a giraffe baby born on New Year's Eve! Terrible pics of it only, though, sadly, because it's behind a chain-link fence. I'll try editing and downloading and posting some more pics tonight. Got some awesome shots of spider monkeys and one of the cheetahs.
