I have two Polish pullets that I will have to be introducing to my flock. I understand because of the head feathers they are a little harder to introduce. Since I have a two coops and one is empty, I am considering doing something different. I thought I would bounce the ideas I have off of the group and see what everyone thought.

OPTION NUMBER1. Put the Polish pullets in the empty coop for about a week, then introduce a hen a week from the flock one at a time. That way the older hen is the newbie and it is one at a time so there is no "click" going on. But, would I start with the most dominate and work my way down to the most submissive, or vice versa?

OPTION NUMBER 2. Remove the dominate and more aggressive hens and just put the pullets with the submissive hens for about a week, then reintroduce the older hens.

OPTION NUMBER 3. Put the pullets in the empty coop, put all the older hens in after a week so the whole flock is in a new area where the polish pullets are used to.

Any thoughts? Extension of these ideas is welcome.
