Isa Browns, gold comets, gold stars and gold sexlinks are the same?? A cross between RIR and White rock??? Am I missing any other names for this cross?

Black stars or black sexlinks are a cross between barred rock and RIR or newhampshire? What are the other names for this cross?

I picked up a black sexlink chick this spring. It looks similar to a barred rock feather patterns but has blackish legs. Is this a Cuckoo Maran??

Thanks a bunch.

This is a great place to help you!

According to this page, "Golden Comets" are NHR/White Rock cross. I've learned from other places that a "gold star/sex-link" is a RIR/RIW cross, and an "ISA Brown" is a RIR/RIW cross of specific strains bred entirely for the purpose of producing ISA Browns. Then the "Cinnamon Queen" is a NHR/SLW cross. And another cross is with a Delaware hen. With this cross, the females looks very to similar their sire (vs. the traditional sex-link that is red or buff w/white). You're right about the black sex-links. As far as your black sex-link chick, is there any chance it's a rooster? Because BSL pullets shouldn't be barred... They usually do have dark legs though... Hope this helps!
