Some Sick Chickens, Diarrhea (& yucky pictures)

Silkie -- they are all eating and drinking fine and enjoy a nice big bowl of oatmeal every morning, I have noticed it is only the americana's that do this funky poo - I have looked at the poo and have never seen a worm in it, and they were doing this at a day old in the brooder box - I have never noticed a funky smell ( of course I am not going to stick my nose near the poo to find out either LOL )
all the babies came from privett and have been raised together and no-one else is doing this. i think they are around 5-6 months old ( give or take )
i guess I will not stress to much over the funky poo since everything else seems to be fine with them.

thank you
Julie

... So they do this orangey-brown stuff once a day? I was wondering!! Mine have been wormed, seem perfectly healthy but I see this from them each day seemingly and then the normal solid gray/white poo.... so mine are doing the norm and it's ok! YAY!

Cecal poo can actually happen a few times a day or every 10 or so poos. All chickens do it but some more than others. No need to worry so much if the overall health of the birds is fine. Everybody gets a bit of mud bottom at times.

So I put them on a wormer and viatamin water Thursday. They finisned all that by Saturday. Still no change in anyone. Nothing any better nor worse. Lots of that nasty poop in the litter. Anyone know how long the wormers take?
