I have duck eggs in the incubator. I have 18 silkie eggs in the incubator. I just got 23 wheaten Americauna eggs in the mail. I have 20 chicks I bought for my barnyard mix. I accidently bought 4 turkeys today. Ok, it wasn't an accident, they followed me home.... They are Bourbon Reds and I have been wanting some for over a year. I am looking for some Black Copper Marans eggs and some Swedish Flower eggs. I'm thinking about some peacocks and Sebestapol geese. Someone on Craigslist just had a pair of these and I wish I would have gotten them.

Oh, and I have a broody laying on some green eggs. I found her about a week ago and have no idea when she started setting.

This chicken math has gotten out of hand!

On a side note, both shipments of eggs, the silkies and the Americaunas have damaged air cells. Does anyone ever get shipped eggs without wonky air cells? The silkies are doing well though so I have hope for them.

you came to the wrong place if you want someone to stop you!

I have 4 bators running... actually I have had a few more than that going at one time and they run pretty much nonstop 365 days a year... but for now it's JUST 4 bators with eggs in them

right now I have 9 hatch dates between those 4 bators.. plus a broody turkey setting on eggs and a few more shipments of eggs to get here
(in the bators.. goose, chicken, emu and turkey eggs..turkey eggs under the broody and waiting on more goose eggs and muscovy eggs.. yes I will probably be stacking eggs in the bators again)

i have 4 brooders up and running right now (turkeys quail and chickens).. plus another 3 on standby.. plus I am expecting 25 freedom ranger meat birds and 17 turkey poults to arrive the first two weeks of May...

so yeah... this is not the place to come and ask people to stop you! lol

This is the wrong place if you're looking for help to stop. It's like going into a bar and saying don't let me drink

If I found any peacock eggs wouldn't be able to resist hatching them. I have been admiring them for so long. Geese not so much they chased me when I was a kid and sorta afraid of them and I think turkeys are big and mean, well I know they are big.

There is a long thread on shipped eggs that talks about damaged air cells. Basically most agree letting the egg set for 24 hours before placing them in the incubator then not turning them for 7 days after setting them. I don't have good luck hatching them. The ones that have developed and make it to lock down don't hatch for me, but I hear others have hatched them.

Oh and remember with chicken math we never count eggs, and don't count chickens unless they lay eggs.
