Someone help with my finicky birds!

Our Barred Rock (1 rooster and 1 hen) and two RIRs have refused to go into their coop at night. There is a small tree near their area and they are nesting in there are night. How can I "retrain" my gang to use their coop? (These are my first birds, so I appreciate the help!)

I had the same problem with a few of my chickens. They preferred the tree in their run to the coop. So, every evening we had to climb up a ladder, pluck a few chickens from the tree and put them in the coop. Thankfully, after a few days of this they went in there by themselves!
