I can't tell if I'm seeing light dots on the feathers, or if that's just a trick of the lighting.

If it's all black, I'm guessing Crevecoeur (crest, v-comb, no feathers on feet, available from several different hatcheries and therefore not too rare.)

If it's got white mottling, then I'm not sure--Houdan's should have a 5th toe, and I can't immediately think of any others with light marks on them.

Where did you get this bird?

It's pretty, no matter what it is!
He is fully black my bad for the lighting. I got him at tractor supply from the straight run bantams.
 
I'm not sure he's a bantam--Tractor Supply is rather well known for having mixed up labels.

Unless there exists a solid black Polish, I don't know of any breed except Crevecoeur it could be. (Someone else may know of another one, but I don't.)

Right now he is the same size as our seabright bantams
