Something got into my coop last night! what could it be?

Weasels will eat just the head, but they wouldn't need an 8 in wide hole. And weasels usually will kill more than one. Maybe a raccoon? If it's had a meal once, it will probably come back. I'd ramp up security around the coop! So sorry for your loss

It happened again. Exactly one week later the animal was back. I predator-proofed my coop and it dug under everything something this morning around 10 a.m and got another one of my chickens. It ate only the head again and must of got to one of the others because she can't walk and is puking up egg whites. It was a larger hole this time and I still can't figure out if it's a raccoon or a fox
