The door that was open is basically one wall of the coop. The coop is a 4' 6" raised coop that I built i made it so one wall opens all the way up. My guess is when i let them out that morning i forgot to latch the door back fully then the dog went into the coop and out the chicken door into the run. As far as police reports go I am a police officer and around here you cant file a report for stuff like this. lesson learned i guess.
