After getting advice and doing research on all types of diseases, crop impaction, anatomy, I have come to the conclusion that there is something stuck in my hen’s throat or her throat is damaged. She will not use her neck and it is larger on the right side. With my ignorance I thought that was her crop, but after much massaging and days of her not eating , I can feel that her crop is definitely empty. This hen with not eat or drink, and the only part that seems to bother her when I feel all over her body is the lump on her neck. The only thing she has gotten to drink are the drops of water from the syringe that I have put on her beak. I know she will die soon if I cannot resolve her not getting to eat or drink. Hi and welcome to BYC :frow We're so happy you've decided to join us:ya
So sorry for your issue, let's see if we can get you some help. @TwoCrows can you offer some advice?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

So when you feel her neck, does it feel like something is inside the esophagus tube? Or is it on the outside?

Generally they know better than to swallow things that are not edible to too large to eat. But sometimes it does happen.

If you honestly think something is inside her esophagus, I personally would take her to a vet for an xray. Since you don't know what's in there, we don't know how to treat this. They have the equipment to suck things out of air and esophageal tubes.

If this is something very large I doubt it's on the inside, but rather the outside.

Is it soft and squishy? Or hard? Soft and squishy could stem from air leaking from one of her air sacs and under her skin. Hard may indicate some sort of tumor? Is the neck itself actually bent? This might indicate a need for vitamins, something akin to wry neck.

I am just not sure. Maybe someone else will chime in here with more help. @Eggcessive @Wyorp Rock

Good luck with her, I hope you can get her back to good health soon. :hugs
