i just hatched out 13 babies leghorns an 5 were black. you dont think the guy i bought them from new they were mixed? i guess this is why i got the black ones the hatched?

I think there are brown leghorns......so maybe the chicks are black. I had a very dark brown ameraucana and it is 80% white now with brownish flecks all over(10 weeks). Its kinda tough to judge by chick colors.

Leghorns come in all the colours, black, brown, exchequer, lavender, blue, white and even one that looks like a light sussex!
