We live in Cleveland, Georgia.
Our Polish Hen, Cher
Our Black Cochin hen, Sonny
We love our two hens, shown here, but we live in the city and legally aren't supposed to have them. Thing is they need to both go to one home. They have been together since birth and would not do well apart from each other. They are sweet hens and so funny.
Sonny, our Black Cochin can't jump, fly, and is so quiet. She purrs and is very easy to pick up. Only time she squawks is right before she is about to lay. If she is in the right quiet environment she will lay two to three eggs a day! Shocked us!
Cher, our Black and White Polish, is a hoot! She can be loud at times, especially when her food is running low. She can fly a little and is a very determined little booger. When we use to keep our two hens in the house, every day she would jump out of her cage, come upstairs and either lay an egg on my pillow, on the dog food, on my children's toys, and even one time in the bathroom trash can! Lol she is a character and quite hilarious with her big poof ball she's got on top of her head.
But these two are best friends and they need new parents who will give them a home with love and care.
We have 6 other chickens at our parents home that we can't put these two hens with, because our other chickens try to kill them.
Sonny and Cher aren't afraid of dogs, cats, or people. That's what they've been exposed to.
So hopefully someone out there will be willing to take home and love these two special girls as we have
