Soon to be New Chicken Momma

Hey all I just stumbled on this site and am loving all the neat information I am getting. We are building our coop this weekend. Our potential chicks are being hatched by my daughters pre-k class

Hopefully they hatch..... anyway so here we are. Getting ready for their arrival.... and if they don't "arrive" then we will just go find some chicks...

any tips, suggestions, or advice would be greatly appreicated. The last time I had anything to do with chickens I was 5.... and they were protected by a turkey who would chase me away anytime I got close..... haha but I have been wanting chickens for a long time and we are finally doing it!

Thank you guys so much!!! I have 6 new babies with a few more coming soon, so 3 are Buff Orphington and then 3 Buff Brahmas.... they have been so fun. We got them today and are already having more fun watching them! Thank you for the links!!
