Sooo very proud!!!

So, last night, I was sitting in a lawn chair, drinking iced tea, and watching my 3 babies run back and forth in their outdoor, up off the ground, brooder/old rabbit hutch. They are now 4 weeks old and have yet to touch the ground. I wanted to let them out to play, but scared I wouldnt be able to catch them or one of the dogs or cats would catch them first!!!

Sooooo......look what I whipped up this morning!

I am so very proud of myself! Lol! and they are loving it!!

That is REALLY nice... I'm impressed! Gonna have to try something like that... Looks easy. And pretty babies too by the way!

You should be proud-- it looks very nice and roomy! I'm sure your girls are very happy for it.

There's a good tutorial on Youtube about building chicken tractors, which makes me think I should take a crack at it.

Great Job! I built something similar - but whacked myself with the hammer twice, it wasn't even close to being square/level - and instead of building a nice top I just threw too sheets of plywood on it....

I'm so not letting anyone in my house see this pic - they'll laugh at me even more!

Make sure the little ones have access to grit, sand, or tiny pebbles in the dirt to digest the grass.

The DH FINALLY woke up and was absolutely amazed that I did it by myself! He thinks I had my Father do it for me...lol! He has helped me ALOT with my new chicken addiction, so I thought I would give him a break, put my big girl panties on, and do it all by my little self.

Got two bators full of eggs and it is actually looking like I may be doing something right this time so I am gonna need more room.
