Do you think a 55 gallon drum is big enough for scalding this dude?

Might do better in the meat bird area. 55 Gallons is plenty big. The challenge is finding a safe way to dunk and remove the scalded bird from the barrel. That requires a rope on the legs and/or a hoist of sorts over the barrel. The wet 50# turkey feels more like 80 when you are lifting the scalded bird. Plan ahead and be careful.
