Sore near butt on Turkey

I have a question about my turkey. He has a sore on the backside of him by his butt. I have put neosporin and tried bandaging it, but he just pulls the bandage off. I tried just keeping neosporin on it and he still picks at it. I don't see the other turkey or chickens picking at it .... only him. How can I get him to leave it alone so it can heal? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There are some medications or lotions you can buy at the feed stores that will deter pecking, such as Rooster Booster Pick No More Lotion. I would try to find the reason his is picking at it--are there mites or lice? Anything irritating him with the litter?
