Sore??

My hen is 1 and1\\2 years old lays about 5 eggs a week and I picked her up today and she was bald on her breast bone and had a purplish spot on her skin. Is that laying sores or mites?? Thanks

Chickens don't get laying sores. Look real close for mites or lice. Also it's that time of year when chickens start to molt (grow new feathers to replace the old feathers) Is her weight OK?
