I just read on another post that someone said when ducks breed with different types of ducks, the young are sterile?? Is this true for all ducks, or just muscovies?

When domestic ducks breed with other domestic ducks they will produce fertile offspring. All domestic ducks can cross with each other because they are decended from the mallard. The exception is the muscovy which is not derived from the mallard. When muscovies cross with domestic ducks they produce sterile offspring that are good for meat.

Oh good then! I was planning on seperating my ducks for a while to get pures, then letting them run together for the remainder. I just didn't want to be hatching a bunch of useless babies!
