I have no experience with raising any kind of backyard poultry. However, I work at a local waterpark, and today I discovered a duck who tucked itself in the corner of two boulders that hold the water slides. According to my employees, the ducks has been there for five days. I assumed it was dead, but in order to make sure I lightly tossed a wood chip towards the duck. The duck's eyes are open and have never blinked and its neck and body didn't move at all. Yet, the duck's feathers still ruffled, and I could see the duck slowly breathing.
The short research I've done suggests that it's botulism but I'm not sure if that the correct diagnosis as the duck has been slowly dying for many days.
Please help me! I feel horrible knowing that this poor animal is going through such a slow and painful death

If it were me I'd take some food and water to it and see if it will eat. It may just be stuck..

Is this a wild duck or domestic breed? I would contact your local wildlife people and get their read on it.

If it is stuck, it needs to be helped out. If it is ill, it needs a vet and treatment. At this point you may only be able to offer hospice care.

Animal control would be my first though. Since it is sick and in a water park they should come out and take care of getting it out and what to do. If it is a wild duck contact a wildlife rehab like Amiga suggested.

The duck is a wild duck. I'm pretty sure it isn't stuck. When my employees first discovered the duck, they assumed it was brooding eggs. However, it seems odd for the duck to seemingly be paralyzed and never move for a week if it is brooding eggs--- or is that normal??

My broody ducks only get off the nest twice a day for about a half an hour - early morning and late evening. The rest of the time they are fastened to that nest.
