Hey, Our chicks are due tomorrow! there are five peeps and it is 68% humidity. My mom wants to open it to let some of the humidity out, but i think it is a bad idea. What should we do?!?!?!?!?

You really do run the risk of shrinkwrapping them!!!

Sit on those hands and let them do their thing

I agree with the others. Do not open the bator. The humidity may have jumped up some because of the pips. Don't sweat it, it is not terribly high. If you have to, drag your mother out for lunch or anything so that she doesn't mess with it. There is nothing wrong at this point! Good luck on your hatch!

you need that humidity.. remember , inside the egg it is 100% so anything less than that in the bator is actually dryer..

If they are pipped, most of your danger is past.. opening the bator now, is asking for trouble.
