What do I do???

All 4 of my eggs came out with some amount attached still to this egg but this one is really bad, thick cord.

This egg did get bumped around day 16, not sure if that’s part of the issue.

This egg did get bumped around day 16, not sure if that’s part of the issue.

It's normal. Don't cut it just incase there is something I can't see from the picture, within a few hours it should dry up and fall off. Most of my chicks that I have hatched have had that attached to them too. It's like an umbilical cord.

Really? Ok whew.

This is my first time hatching chicks and I had not read about this!!!

All of mine had some amount of stuff attached but this one is the most.

It detached overnight. He is a bit smaller and lighter in colouring than the others, little bit sleepier. But he also was the last one to hatch. I’m leaving them in the incubator for now so he has longer to perk up.
