i have heard of people using these for housing a roo overnight. a small box with vent hole just for the roo maybe with polystyrene (foam board?)insulation around it.

i may need something like this to keep a future roo quiet. anyone ever used or .....................what have you done..................?

John, I would just rehome the rooster before I put the rooster or myself through the stress and hassle of it. It does get to be a pain, and isn't much good for the rooster. He wants to be protecting his flock, doing his job. The slightest sliver of light or tinest of noises will still make him crow, no matter what the hour of day or night. And they will all be pecking at any insulation that isn't sheathed.

I just don't think it's a humane way to stop a rooster from being noisy, nor is it always effective.
